Kawasaki Engines Unifies New Global Logo As Segment Growth Continues

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., (May 23, 2017)---The Kawasaki brand is known worldwide in numerous product categories and segments—from motorcycles and personal watercraft to shipbuilding, bullet trains, and commercial plant infrastructure. Significant recent growth at Kawasaki’s Engines Division has prompted the group to develop a new logo that both strengthens and unifies its face to the public.

Launching this month, all of Kawasaki’s international general purpose engines groups will employ the bold new look on all promotional and technical materials to dealers, end-users, and OEM businesses that utilize the powerplants in lawn care, industrial, and related equipment.

Featuring a look that coordinates with the primary corporate presence seen with other facets of the multi-national company, the new logo is a clean, contemporary approach “that speaks to the strength and reliability of our products and the division,” said Karen Howard, director of marketing, order services and dealer sales.

Different iterations of the logo—all using Kawasaki’s red mixed with black on a white field—will be employed for different purposes.

“This process has been ongoing, and we’ve focused on a look that is melded to the imagery of other Kawasaki companies and divisions, yet one that distinctly addresses our need for a strong, global presence,” said Howard.

Kawasaki’s Engines Division here in the U.S. has produced in excess of nine million units at the Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. in Maryville, Mo. The recent growth in the division has been marked by increased market share and expansion of R&D, technical, and manufacturing capabilities.

Kawasaki Engines, a division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., distributes gasoline engines for landscape, industrial, and consumer markets. The division is headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. It sells to and services customers through a network of more than 40 OEMs, 15 distributors, and more than 7,500 independent dealers throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, select countries in Central and South America, and the U.S. Trust Territories of the Pacific, including Guam.
