GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (July 28, 2009)---Adding strength to its commitment to the consumer marketplace, the Engines and Power Products Division of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has increased the consumer warranty on selected engine groupings to three years. Engines affected by this new warranty coverage are the FR, FS, and FX series, which totals 22 separate engines.

According to Rodger Howe, Director of Operations, this expanded warranty does not apply to engines used for commercial purposes. The company’s standard two-year warranty will continue to cover those used in professional lawn and garden applications.

“This represents a reaffirmation of our commitment to the consumer and is a strong indication of the company’s continuing confidence in the strength and reliability of the engines we build,” said Howe.

The all-new FR series engines are four-cycle V-twin powerplants with a broad spectrum of applications and range in size from 22HP to 26HP. They deliver smooth power output, quieter operation, outstanding durability, and compact design.

Kawasaki’s FS series, engineered for high power and environmental sensitivity also feature a compact 90° V-twin design. The six FS series engines covered by the new warranty range in size from 16HP to 26HP.

With horsepower output from 16HP to 37HP, the FX series features hemispherical combustion chambers and overhead V-valve technology to help deliver low emissions, high power, and smooth operation.

“All of these engines rely on high performance characteristics enabling their usage in a variety of equipment situations, and we’re sure that consumers purchasing hardware utilizing Kawasaki engines will find they can rely on that equipment for many years,” said Howe.
