KCL525A/AC and KCS525A/AC can save up to 25 percent of fuel costs.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Professional landscape managers and contractors can do a better job of keeping shrubs, hedges, and trees clipped and pruned neatly with the KCL525A and KCS525A hedge clippers from Kawasaki. And, as the cost of gasoline seems to increase daily, users get an added bonus of up to 25 percent savings in fuel costs as compared to the TJ207D engine used in previous models.

These new model hedge clippers are powered by new Kawasaki TJ027E 2-cycle 26.3cc engines that incorporate advanced Air/Fuel (A/F) Technology ™, which helps provide the reduced fuel consumption. Kawasaki engineers added a catalytic converter in the exhaust system, aiding in emissions reductions, as well. The engine features an “enrichment” starting system that replaces the choke and practically eliminates the possibility of engine flooding at start-up.

The articulating blade—up to 160 degrees—gives these new clippers a major advantage over standard trimmers. By simply loosening the knob, the user can rotate the blade back towards the shaft for easier transport and storage. When in use, the operator can rotate the blade to any position needed for easier, more precise clipping. Even short hedges and shrubs can be trimmed more easily in either direction, with a simple adjustment to the blade angle.

Tall shrubs and evergreens are more difficult to keep in line with standard hedge trimmers. Not with these new Kawasaki hedge clippers. The long shaft model, KCL525A, gives the operator a shaft length of 6.5 feet, with an added blade length of 20.7 inches. The KCS525A features a 5.5 foot shaft, plus the added 20.7 inch blade.

The flexibility of the blade position, along with the low noise/low vibration features of these clippers will make them a favorite with landscapers and arborists. The KCL525A weighs in at just 13.9 lbs. (6.3 kg), while the KCS525A tips the scale at a mere 13.2 lbs. (6.0 kg).

Ergonomics are an important feature for minimizing worker stress, and these new clippers include adjustable grip/loop rubber-covered handles and convenient control locations to add to the low noise/low vibration engineering, and the overall lightweight design.

Both new hedge clippers feature Kawasaki’s “Leading Edge” warranty, which covers commercial use for two years and consumer use for five years. This warranty also includes lifetime drive shaft and electronic ignition module protection. Buyers have a 10-day money back guarantee on all Kawasaki handheld power products.
